What Changed in the New Game

The current Mega Millions format uses five white balls from 1 to 70 and one gold Mega Ball from 1 to 24. The ticket price is higher than the old format, and a multiplier is included for non-jackpot prizes.

The jackpot odds are 1 in 290,472,336 and the overall odds of winning any prize are about 1 in 23. These figures describe each valid play under the same rules.
